QUENCHING
1. Auto-cooling... based on:
- Temperature and pressure
- Flow and level
- Time delays and spikes
- This reduces stress on drums, required manpower and it gives consistency among shifts.
2. Fill drum during cooling
- Overfill with water to blowdown
- Put to atmosphere at the top level indicator
- Overflow to put when out of blowdown
3. Switch straight to blowdown; stay out of the frac with steam stripping - can cut 30 to 60 minutes of cycle time.
