Breakout Discussion Groups

Ever been in a large group of a 100 or 200 and felt like you could never really get into the discussion? We'll have break out group sessions made up of 25 to 35 people with you and your peers, refiners and vendors. The break out group discussions are led by facilitators. Everyone gets a chance to ask questions, get involved in the discussion, hear what other refineries are doing and explore topics in greater depth that appeal to you.

"Very beneficial - meeting contacts - forming alliances - great discussions" - Joe Gelhar Flint Hills Resources

Breakout Groups - Coking discussion

"Being a process engineer, I found the discussion of automated deheading was very helpful. I thought the breakout group was very helpful and informative. I would like to see more breakout sessions. Everything was useful!" - Bob Neuman, Koch Petroleum Group

"I found this very beneficial, w/open communication." - Tim Dick, Shell

Vendors participate in the breakout groups to get "refinery feedback on topics to be tackled by industry and discussion with operators" - Eberhard Lucke CB&I

Updated: May 12, 2010

"Breakout groups were an excellent opportunity to interact and exchange common issues." - Ben Davis, BP Oil, Toledo Refinery

You know you've got a good thing when the industry starts copying you.  We're seeing others offer Break Out Discussion Groups too.  We're glad that we could be the first ones to bring the Delayed Coker to the web and the first to bring "Break Out Group Discussions" to the seminars. We'll continue to be leaders and innovators.

"The breakout groups/picking out own problems and subjects was very helpful. Safety moments & sharing of incidents was very good." - Curtis Crisp, Citgo

Are there others in your organization who would be interested in attending future seminars? Please forward their names and mailing address/email address to seminar@coking.com so we may send them an invitation.
