From the harvesting of oil resources to processing it into fuel, sustainability and responsibility of the environment are important issues for more than just the oil industry. Taking care of our earth is important for our workforce and the communities in which they work.

We are calling for technical experts, policy makers, and regulators from around the world to empower the refining and upgrading community to be proactive with emerging environmental issues. The Conference Technical Committee is seeking additional presenters, papers and work-in-progress reports on environmental aspects of upgrading.

• Refinery Wins Environmental Award. The Billings Montana Community nominates the ConocoPhillips Billings Refinery for the Clean Air Act Excellence Award. Sponsored by the EPA, the award symbolizes the good relationship a refinery with a coker can have with the environment and community.

The Coking.com Upgrader Seminar is September 8-11.

This Environmental Conference is a one-day segment of that seminar. On Wednesday, September 10th, most of the presentations, panel discussions, and discussion groups will be devoted to Environmental issues.  (If you have purchased the seminar, this day is included.)
