Daily Schedule

"Your group ran, literally, the best seminar that I have ever been to, from a logistics point of view. I used to run a national association with 30,000 members and our annual meetings were NEVER put together as well as what you guys did. I was constantly amazed at how well you ran the program. Each segment and transition point was coordinated perfectly and it amazing to see you guys pull it off. Half the time I was set back in my chair thinking “why didn’t we do that?” when remembering how my association used to run our conferences. The food, the MC’s, the hand outs, the speaker set ups – all of it was top notch.

In my 28 year career I have never seen it done so well, and I am not exaggerating. You guys aced it – thanks for the fantastic experience! We are looking forward to the next event." - Norman Garrett, Engineer

"What seminar subjects were most useful to you? Everything. Especially the industry and vendor coworkers." -CNRL (Calgary 2007)

Who should attend?

The Safety Seminar is the main event.  It is for anybody who has anything to do with coking. Many people work with all aspects of the coker and they would be interested in both conferences.

To be more specific...
The Safety Seminar focuses on Safety, Operations Optimization, Technology and Process. Definitely for Process and Operations, but generally for anybody who has anything to do with coking.

1. The operators and supervisors who are unheading, drilling, coke handling, running the control board and participating in operations rounds of the unit.

2. The managers who are in charge of a smooth running and safe operation.

3. The process engineers who want to maximize production in the heaters, fractionators and drum cycle.

4. The owners who seek out new technologies and care about more production and less risk.

5. Maintenance and reliability technicians who do coker routine maintenance; mechanical engineers, rotating and fixed equipment engineers and leadership.

The Coke Drum & Reliability Workshop

The first 1 day is devoted to equipment reliability and maintenance. It is for maintenance and reliability technicians, fixed and rotating equipment engineers, project engineers, coker area supervisors, turnaround planners, welders, inspectors. Operations is probably curious about this too.

The 2nd day is devoted to coke drums. It is for inspectors, designers, fabricators, project engineers, equipment engineers, maintenance technicians, purchasing and procurement, turnaround planners.
