Delayed Coker Wilson-Snyder Switch Valve Actuator

Typical Specifications of the MEA Actuator
for Wilson-Snyder Switch Valve

  1. The MEA Actuator can mount on any Wilson-Snyder Switch Valve (up to 14") with no modification to the valve.
  2. Switching is controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller).  The MEA actuator can be set for stops and time duration at the stops.  Normal standard is one (1) stop at midpoint of the switch but the Actuator is program selectable and can do more than one stop (up to 5 stops have been tested) if operator requests which means it is program selectable.
  3. The MEA actuator has a Redundant Position Signal.  The main signal is from a position transducer while the redundancy is in the proximity switch.
  4. An abort signal is available just by turning a switch.
  5. Four methods of operation:
    1. Automatic
    2. Semi-automatic
    3. Hydraulic Operation
    4. Manual Gear Operation
  6. In the event of power failure, two methods of operation can still operate the Wilson-Snyder Switch Valve:
    1. Hydraulic operation from accumulation power
    2. Manual gear operation by means of the operator simply turning the hand wheel
  7. The MEA Actuator meets all electrical codes (NEC, ATEX, etc.) across the world.
